Skype is supposed to work on any PDA or smartphone running Windows Moble and having a fast Internet connection (WiFi or 3G). Skype also works on Nokia N800/N810. However, many PDAs and smartphones have a processor which is not fast enough to run Skype properly. For example, Palm Treo 750 with Samsung processor running at 300 MHz is not sufficiently fast for the proper operation of Skype. As a solution we recommend to install fring on your phone. We recommend to use WiFi connection where available because it does not incur any data usage costs. Data usage costs over 3G and GPRS depend on your mobile provider's rates. However, as the bandwidth used by fring is quite low, these costs are also low. To help you make an estimate, fring uses approximately 14 MB for a 60 min call on Windows Mobile phones and approximately 8 MB on Symbian OS phones. So, if you purchase, for example, a 50 MB prepaid plan you will be able to talk for more than 3 hours on a Windows Mobile phone and more than 6 hours on a Symbian OS phone. If you don't use fring but use Skype Mobile directly (in case your phone really supports Skype Mobile), data usage costs will be essentially higher because of the high bandwidth used by Skype.How can I install Skype on my mobile phone?
